BNXN should explain why he refused to be on my song – CKay

Nigerian singer, Chukwuka Ekweani aka CKay, has opted out of explaining why his colleague, BNXN asked to be removed from his song, Hallelujah.

He said the 2023 hit track originally featured Seyi Vibez and BNXN but it was a version with Hip Hop artiste, Blaqbonez that was eventually released.

CKay spoke on the collaboration saga during an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, as he explained that the ‘Gwagwalada’ crooner requested to be taken off while Seyi Vibez’s management failed to clear up his verse.

When asked to shed more light on why BNXN decided to not be on the track, he said he doesn’t know why and only the singer can give his reasons.

Furthermore, CKay said he doesn’t regret releasing the version with Blaqbonez, stressing that it was a hit.

“One thing I can tell you is that BNXN asked to be taken off the record [‘Hallelujah’]. Why he asked to be taken off the record is a question you will have to ask him,” he said.

Meanwhile, in related news…

CorrectNG reported last year that Daniel Benson, the singer popularly known as BNXN reacted after CKay claimed that he failed to hop a song with him because of rapper, Blaqbonez.

Ckay revealed that there was supposed to be multiple versions of the single with BNXN, Seyi Vibez and Blaqbonez but due to some personal reasons the first two could not be possible.

The ‘Love Nwantiti’ hit maker said BNXN opted out when he heard Blaqbonez’ verse while Seyi’s team simply did not give him a clear feedback. He, however, said that Hallelujah represents his journey from a poor upbringing to where he is today.

But reacting via Twitter account , BNXN who was angry about the claim shaded him with an insult in Yoruba.

He wrote; “Awon werey 😪”
