AFCON: Mercy Eke ready to reward Nwabali over penalty saves

Reality TV star and businesswoman, Mercy Eke, has celebrated Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali for his saves during the penalty shootout against South Africa.

The semi-final match between the two nations ended in a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes. Nigeria defeated Bafana Bafana of South Africa 4-2 through penalty shootout on Wednesday night.

Nwabali was the hero of the game as he saved two penalty kicks, earning the three time champions a qualification for the 2023 AFCON finals.

Reacting, after Nigeria secured a win, Mercy said she owes the goalie a cold bottle of her favourite cognac, Ciu Ciu, saying he deserves the wine.

Sharing a photo of the Chippa United shot-stopper, the Big Brother Naija winner wrote; “Stanley nwabali I owe you one cold… @ciuciuwine πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰”
