Reality TV star and businesswoman, Mercy Eke, has celebrated Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali for his saves during the penalty shootout against South Africa.
The semi-final match between the two nations ended in a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes. Nigeria defeated Bafana Bafana of South Africa 4-2 through penalty shootout on Wednesday night.
Nwabali was the hero of the game as he saved two penalty kicks, earning the three time champions a qualification for the 2023 AFCON finals.
Reacting, after Nigeria secured a win, Mercy said she owes the goalie a cold bottle of her favourite cognac, Ciu Ciu, saying he deserves the wine.
Sharing a photo of the Chippa United shot-stopper, the Big Brother Naija winner wrote; “Stanley nwabali I owe you one coldβ¦ @ciuciuwine ππππ”
